About

The Black Nazarene Hospital

In 2002, The Black Nazarene Hospital was not yet the multispecialty hospital that San Nicolenses and the rest of Ilocos Norte know today. It began as a specialty clinic and its first two departments were OB-GYN and Urology. Six years later, the clinic grew and it kept growing through the years. Today, it is now a Level 2 hospital with 120 clinicians from various subspecialties.

The 60-bed capacity hospital, although private, is also known for its numerous community programs. This includes reproductive health education to prevent teenage pregnancy and other advocacies led by the TBNHI’s management. The establishment always gives back despite the challenges that it has come across with in the past decades.

A Vision to Bring Holistic Healthcare to Ilocos Norte

The Black Nazarene Hospital believes and knows that optimal health can be achieved by addressing all the components that make up an individual. The mind, body, and spirit need to be in harmony to ensure that all parts work properly.

Holistic healthcare is already being practiced in some of the hospital’s departments but the vision is to incorporate its principles to all subspecialties.

One of the pillars of holistic medicine is treating diseases by addressing the root cause and not just focusing on getting rid of the symptoms.

Multidisciplinary Team of Experts

While all hospitals have a team of experts from different disciplines or fields, the Black Nazarene’s approach is to put together all useful disciplines to ensure that we deliver effective and life-saving patient care. We want to heal our patients by addressing the root cause of their ailments and not just cure or treat symptoms. We also endeavor to give whole-person care because improving your overall well-being is our calling.

Our Care Philosophy

The Black Nazarene Hospital always endeavors to provide compassionate and advanced treatments to its patients. Comprehensive, world-class patient care that is personalized and provided by an entire team of specialists is what the medical institution is all about. Our physicians all work towards one goal – to make certain that each patient’s medical needs are met and that collaboration between doctors and patients is pursued for the latter’s benefit.

When our physicians are away from the clinics attending to patients, they are pursuing further studies or research.
